A cook preparing murtabak in one of the mamak stalls in the streets of Kuah, Langkawi Island Malaysia. Murtabak is a folded bread with stuffing usually cooked in a griddle. Langkawi island is in the north western part of Malaysia just after Penang. It's near the border of Thailand. It's a duty-free island so shopping is a delight. Tip: rent a car once you get to Langkawi so you'll enjoy the different beaches in the Andaman sea. It's unbelievably cheap too (I think at that time it was just RM40/day). Just be careful though since you'll be driving on the wrong side of the road. Well for some at least.
